Music

Peace Lutheran uses the Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW) book and the African American Heritage Hymnal. The use of both worship books allows us to express and honor the diversity among us, blending the rich traditions of the Black Church along with the Lutheran liturgy. We draw from a well-balanced mixture of music including traditional, contemporary, gospel, jazz, Taize and hymns from the Christian communities around the world.

Contemplative practices and silence are incorporated into our worship.

Sunday worship special music by our choir and a variety of soloists is led by Dr. Chris Brandt, a talented leader of large and small groups.

      Children’s Loft

We understand that attending church with little ones can be challenging at times. The children’s loft, overlooking the sanctuary, is a great place for families to sit during the service if their little ones need space to wiggle and roam. The Children’s Loft has quiet toys for children as well as bulletins and hymnals for parents, so they can continue to participate in the service.
